Nico Nico Ramen serves big portions and good food.
I feel I should start with that sentence because holy crap this place serves huge portions. For quite reasonable prices. It’s a small ramen shop on the corner of an intersection and it doesn’t really stand out so much. When you enter you’ll find a very clean interior and it feels very new. The restaurant can’t be more than a few years old. Also you’ll find it giving off a very homely vibe as well. It is next to a giant field of rice (I am not sure) and the recommendations menu is hand drawn with Anpanman and it’s cute. The food and the portions have never disappointed me. They cart the food to you because they serve you so much food.
Nico Nico kinda means to smile but you’re not really supposed to. I think that’s why the restaurant was named the way it is because of the portions.
I mean plenty of places serve food at decent sized portions and it’s delicious but the prices here are extraordinary. It is the same as the other places and not a yen more for the most part. They also have an extensive menu, and a ton of different food.
Since it is a Shokudo they also have rice sets and ramen. They are almost guaranteed to fill you up unless you are some food eating champ. Anyway Nico Nico Ramen is a place you’d wanna eat at if you are in a voracious state and clamoring for ramen. Or if you just wanna eat a bowl of food. Heck yeaahh.
If 1 Nico is ok and 2 Nicos is great THIS PLACE GETS
Happy Eating Ya’ll!
Nico Nico Ramen is like a 20 minute drive from JR Mishima station.
It’s in the middle of Shimizu-Cho. I mean look below. Seriously. It’s super countryside but worth.
