There is nothing better after 3 hours of climbing then coming eating a full set meal. Katsuya is a chain like Sukiya, or Yoshinoya but instead of beef bowls it specialized in Katsu. Katsu is technically a cutlet. Panko crums over meat and fried. It’s crispy and delicious. If you haven’t had the chance to try Chicken Katsu, or Pork Katsu I’d recommend it. And what better way to start than by coming to Japan and trying this chain.
Katsuya is part of the chain of restaurants whose motto is probably, Cheap, Fast, and Delicious. They have some amazing Oyako-don (Chicken and Egg Rice Bowl) and probably the best Pork/Chicken Katsu I’ve had. For under 1000 yen you can get a full set meal. I ordered the shredded cabbage with chicken katsu and Japanese mayonnaise set. It came with Ton Jiru (Pork Soup with Vegetables) and a bowl of rice. Katsuya is able to put together these meals so well. Everything complements each other. They have a variety of other items on their menu as well. If you’re looking for a substantial meal for under a 1000 yen and are craving Katsu try this place!
Look at how happy my friends are after eating here.

It’s a chain so you can find them everywhere!
